Lighting correction workflow

Rebalance difficult lighting without replacing the scene.

Image Relighter improves subject readability when light is weak, uneven, or poorly balanced across the frame. It corrects exposure relationships while asking the workflow to preserve the original environment and believable light direction.

Subject visibility

Faces and primary objects can become easier to read without flattening the whole frame.

Scene continuity

The requested result keeps the same setting, composition, and practical light sources.

Natural contrast

Shadows remain available to describe shape instead of being removed indiscriminately.

When relighting is useful

Backlit portraits, uneven indoor lighting, shaded products, and mixed window or artificial light can benefit when important detail is present but poorly balanced.

Relight versus Night Fix

Relight addresses imbalance within the frame. Night Fix treats a broader low-light problem that often includes noise and color. Diagnosis helps select the more focused workflow.

Keep lighting plausible

Review face direction, cast shadows, reflective surfaces, and existing lamps or windows. A useful correction should not introduce illumination that contradicts the visible scene.

Protect products and skin tone

Check brand colors, labels, makeup, skin tone, and material finish after correction. Use Color Correction as a separate signal when tint or white balance is the primary issue.
