Finishing correction
Sharpening works best when useful detail already exists in the source.
Detail sharpening workflow
Image Sharpener is a finishing workflow for photographs that contain real detail but look slightly soft after capture, resizing, or export. It increases local definition conservatively rather than pretending to reconstruct severe blur.

High-contrast boundaries are treated carefully to avoid bright or dark outlines.
Skin, hair, fabric, and product surfaces should stay credible at normal viewing size.
Sharpening increases contrast around existing edges. Unblur targets recoverable blur patterns. If a subject is visibly out of focus or moving, start with the Unblur workflow instead of forcing stronger sharpening.
Slightly soft portraits, resized campaign assets, product images, and web exports can benefit when their key boundaries are intact but lack perceived crispness.
Inspect hair against sky, text, jewelry, building lines, and product packaging. Excess sharpening can create halos, stair-stepped edges, or a brittle look around these areas.
A social post, listing card, and large presentation have different needs. Compare the result at its intended display size before deciding whether the correction is useful.
