Haze reduction workflow

Improve visibility through haze while preserving atmospheric depth.

Image Dehazer targets low-contrast scenes affected by mist, pollution, smoke-like atmospheric veil, or distant haze. It restores separation where the source supports it without flattening every layer into an exaggerated HDR look.

Depth-aware contrast

Near and distant areas are balanced instead of receiving one uniform contrast increase.

Natural atmosphere

Some depth haze can remain when it is part of the original scene.

Color reviewed with clarity

Haze correction considers unwanted casts that appear as contrast returns.

Haze versus soft focus

Haze lowers contrast across distance, while focus blur softens edges regardless of depth. Diagnosis helps avoid applying dehaze to a photograph that primarily needs unblur.

Recover layered visibility

Landscapes, city views, aerial images, and scenes through light atmospheric veil can regain more useful separation between foreground, midground, and background.

Protect sky and distant color

Inspect gradients, clouds, mountains, skylines, and vegetation. Excessive dehazing can create banding, dark outlines, or oversaturated distant objects.

Know when the source is blocked

Dense fog and opaque smoke can hide the scene completely. The workflow cannot prove or accurately recover structures that do not appear in the captured image.
